About the Play
Since 2006, more than 520 attacks against people with albinism have been recorded in 28 countries. Of those attacks, 170 reported incidents have taken place in Tanzania. During election season, the killing of people with albinism tends to rise. It is believed that politicians patronize witch doctors for potions and good luck charms made from the bones, blood, and/or organs of albinos for promises of power.
